If you are interested in Vigotsky’s life and ideas, come to the original source. Come visit beautiful
Portugal and attend the ESTORIL VIGOTSKY CONFERENCE.

Started in 2010, the ESTORIL VIGOTSKY CONFERENCE is a biennial international meeting of
professionals from different disciplines such as Psychology, Pedagogy, Linguistics, Anthropology
and Medicine. These professionals come to together with the common bond of an interest and
focus on Vigotsky, Luria and Leont’ev.

Three days of keynote and state of the art lectures, oral presentations and posters is the hallmark of
this personal and interactive conference. It is a unique opportunity to interface with colleagues
from different disciplines and different parts of the world in this friendly gathering in a resort
setting.

The Honor Vigotsky Prize which is given to an individual that best reflect contemporary
applications of these three luminaries is awarded at each conference. The awards have previously
been given to: Yuri Zinchenko (Russia), Janna Glozman (Russia) and Dorothy Robbins (USA).

The Programme Committee invites researchers to send proposals that correspond to one of
the above-mentioned themes. A proposal can be submitted as:
- Oral presentation submissions should include an abstract (150 words) summarizing the
purpose, method, results and discussion of the study (15 minutes presentation + 5 minutes Q&A);

- Poster presentation submissions should include an abstract (150 words) summarizing the
purpose, method, results and discussion of the study.

A proposal should be submitted by e-mail (evc12@quintinoaires.pt). All paper proposals must
include:
1. The title of the paper;
2. The author's name and academic degree;
3. The author’s place of work;
4. Mailing address and e-mail;
5. Reference to one of the conference themes;
6. Preference for oral presentation OR poster presentation.

Deadlines
– For the submission of proposals: January 31, 2012
– For the notification of proposal acceptance: April 1, 2012
